2004-Began training at the Alberta School of Kung Fu under Master Edward Ng in Tai Chi
2005-Started training in Wing Chun at Alberta School of Kung Fu
2013-Obtained a second degree black belt in Wing Chun after training with Master Ng for 10 years
1985-Started training in Taekwondo under Grand Master KH Min in Edmonton, AB
1989-Achieved first degree black belt and competed nationally with the Dragons tournament team
1993-Began Wing Chun training under Master Edward NG at the Alberta School of Kung Fu
2004-Became one of the head instructors for Master NG
2013-Obtained a sixth degree black belt in Wing Chun after training with Master Ng for 20 years
Yes, we teach the three Wing Chun forms;
Siu Lim Tao,Chum Kiu, and Biu Gee.
IS THERE WEAPONS TRAINING?
Yes, the six foot staff and butterfly
swords are taught.
IS THERE PARTNER WORK?
Yes, partner work is an important part of training and will be part of every class.
IS THERE SPARRING?
Not at the beginner levels. At the intermediate
levels we use light contact " problem solving "
and hand trapping. Focus is on relaxation,
control and position.
WHAT IS CHI SAO?
Chi Sao is a "sticky hands" training drill used in
Wing Chun in order to develop sensitivity.
